Learn to Skate is Parkway Hockey's initiation program for children learning to skate. Focus will be on basic skating skills that will form the foundation for a great hockey player in the future. But above all, we strive to ensure all kids are having fun while they're on the ice. Equipment is required for this program: helmet, elbow pads, gloves, knee pads and skates. Shirt will be provided
Learn To Skate participants must be at least 4 years old at the session commencement date and must be able to work on his/her own in a large group setting.
Saturdays and Sundays starting November thru the end of February.

Should my child wear hockey shin pads or biking/rollerblading knee pads?
For children new to skating, biking and rollerblading knee pads are better because they do not get in the way of the ups and downs.
2021-2022 Winter Season
For those kids new to skating & game of hockey. Emphasis will be placed on kids learning skating basics.
You will need to sign your child up for this season using this website regardless of if you registered on the old website. To register your child for a program you will first need an account to get a login and password. Your login from the old website will not work on this website.
After setting up an account you can then navigate to the Program tabs above to find the correct program for your child. Click there and then on the right side of the screen there will be a red registration button. Go thru there to register your child for the season. It will ask you for your USA hockey number. You will need to click thru and get a USA hockey number for this season just like every season. Then it will ask you to setup payment for the season. You need to do all of this to be registered for this season.
