Learn to Skate
Learn to Skate is Parkway Hockey's initiation program for children learning to skate. Focus will be on basic skating skills that will form the foundation for a great hockey player in the future. But above all, we strive to ensure all kids are having fun while they're on the ice. Equipment is required for this program: hockey helmet (with cage), elbow pads, gloves, knee pads and skates. Shirt will be provided
Ages
Learn To Skate participants must be able to work on his/her own in a large group setting. Age 4 or older is recommended but age 3 is ok if child is ready.
When
Saturdays from 11:00am - 12:00pm and Sundays from 12:00pm - 1:00pm starting Saturday November 1st until first week of March

Roche Arena in West Roxbury.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should my child wear hockey shin pads or biking/rollerblading knee pads?
For children new to skating, biking and rollerblading knee pads are better because they do not get in the way of the ups and downs.
