USA Hockey Requirements to Coach

1. Register as a member of USA Hockey - Required for all coaches + players. Cost is ~$46
2. Background screening - This is basically a CORI done online + managed by USA Hockey. Cost is $30 for domestic screens
3. USA Hockey Safesport Training - Once you have completed the Core Safe Sport Course, there will be a Refresher Course available for individuals who have previously completed the core Safe Sport course and need to recertify. USA Hockey # required to complete
4. Online age-specific module(s) for the age level of play you are coaching - Cost is $10 per module and only needs to be completed once per age level. Must be completed PRIOR to participating in any team activities and cannot be added to a roster until completed.
5. Coaching Education Program (CEP) - Find, register and attend the required certification clinic. The cost is $55. You can only attend one clinic per season and all coaches start at Level 1. You can take clinics from April 1-Dec. 31 each season.
