posted 11/25/2008 Through a partnership made possible by the Roche Family in the re-opening of the Jim Roche Community Ice Arena, the Roche Family Community Center along with Facility Management Corporation was able to give back to the community $20,500 of the rink's profits to skills clinics for Parkway Youth Hockey players. Mayor Menino presented the check on behalf of the community center to Parkway Youth Hockey President Nick McCummings.
The donation will cover all costs associated with O’Sullivan Hockey Academy and ice rental fees for the next ten weeks of Skills Sessions. Based on the knowledge of this donation, the PYH Board of Directors was able to set player registration fees at a very reasonable level while offering exceptional coaching to all players. Parkway is proud to again offer among the most affordable hockey programs in the area due to generous donations from the Roche Center and our other sponsors.
